Enjoy a one day retreat at the A Rocha BC Centre as we explore the theme of embodiment and faith.
About this event
The Christian faith is an embodied faith. But often we live our spiritual lives only from our heads — as if faith were just something to be believed, and not lived in the flesh and blood, here and now. During this retreat we will consider how can we connect with God and our truest selves by honouring our bodies and all that they do and hold for us. In addition to shared times of reflection and litugy, we will participate in emodiment practices such as somatic awareness and breathwork as a way of being present to ourselves and God.
There will also be time for solitude and enjoyment of the A Rocha centre’s trails and gardens.
Leah Kostamo, A Rocha’s Co-founder and a trained spiritual director, will facilitate the retreat.
The day will include a farm fresh lunch, snacks and all the tea and coffee your tummy can hold!
