Richard Austin’s captivating recitations of Gerard Manley Hopkins’s poetry are not to be missed in his one man-show. The co-editor of The Hopkins Quarterly, Joseph J. Feeney, S.J., exclaims that he “ha[s] never heard a better . . . performer of Hopkins’ poems than Richard Austin.” This English actor has devoted his life to performing Hopkins’s poetry, so poetry lovers please bring a friend and enjoy an evening under the acoustical impress of Hopkins’s verbal music. This free event is open to students, faculty, and the public.
