Is our world driven by chaos, chance, or unrecognized unity?

SAMC Art + Design presents a guest exhibition in the President’s Gallery by Wayne Eastcott, one of Canada’s foremost printmakers. Eastcott prints on paper and aluminum using a variety of inks (often handmade), to create visually rich collages of man-made and natural images. This show is a retrospective displaying 40 years of his work.

The Art of Wayne Eastcott: A Retrospective explores the interconnectedness of our universe. Works combining digital and silkscreen printing bring together urban, mechanical, and landscape forms combined with geometric shapes. What similarity and interdependence can be found between the organic and the technological in our everyday world? Is there synchronicity in the length of piano strings, the structure of electronic circuitry, and the forms of DNA growth? Step into TWU’s on-campus gallery and tour through the multi-layered images of Eastcott’s innovative prints.
