Full; will be repeated April 16.

We are facing some significant challenges as God’s people. As we increasingly sense there won’t be a going back to “normal”, could we begin to discern together the future that the Spirit is inviting us into? Join other leaders across Canada to reflect on our common calling and respond to what God is doing in our neighbourhoods.

Hosted by Sara Jane R. Walker of The Missional Network and Cam Roxburgh of Forge Canada with guests Alan Roxburgh & Marilyn Draper.

We know that there are many others across Canada who are asking similar questions. We are hosting a space to engage these questions together. This is a space for mutual gathering and listening with one another rather than experts and professionals sharing solutions. We believe that the Spirit is fermenting something on the ground amongst us and we are coming together to listen, discern, suggest, pray, support, test out things and reflect together on how the Spirit is addressing us.

This space is also shaped around a metaphor. It’s the metaphor of being on a road none of us have travelled before. What is the nature of this road? What is the posture we need to take with one another on the road? What are the ways the Spirit of God encounters us on the road? This leads us to spend time dwelling in and reflecting upon the Biblical story of the two disciples on the Emmaus Road and a poem written by Antonio Machado more than a hundred years ago.

Join us on the Emmaus road as we listen to what might be involved in an unknown future the Spirit is inviting us to discern.
