Preaching Out of the Rest of GodDate: Thursday, March 3, 2016 Time: 9:30am-3:30pm Location: Carey Centre, 5920 Iona Drive, Vancouver, BC Cost: $69/person includes lunch Presenter: Dr. Darrell Johnson & Dr. Craig Smith
Someone once said that the secret of effective ministry, and in particular, effective preaching, is “to serve out of being at rest in the Rest of God.” What does that means? How do we do it? How do we help others do it?
In this seminar we will work our way through Hebrews 3-4, where the author makes the great claim, “there remains a rest for the people of God,” and gives the great exhortation, “be diligent to enter that rest.” “Come to Me, all who are weary and have over-burdened yourselves, and I will rest you.”
