The Canadian Multifaith Initiative for Uyghur Rights is hosting a panel discussion with three members of the Uyghur community to raise awareness of the situation this community currently faces in mainland China. Several countries have labeled the situation “genocide.” Three local faith leaders will be moderating the session, including Dean Christopher A. Pappas. The pre-recorded session will be available on-line on Monday, March 22. On Thursday March 25 the Cathedral will hold a Zoom session to reflect on the panel discussion, explore the issue further, and wonder about ways Anglican justice seekers and peace makers might move forward in supporting the Uyghur community.

The panel discussion will be available on this youtube channel.

Register here to take part in the Cathedral’s reflection session.

The Cathedral’s Justice Education and Advocacy Ministry is a member of the Canadian Multifaith Initiative for Uyghur Rights.
