Presenter: Dr. Barton Priebe serves as President of Northwest College and Seminary. He holds a DMin from Northwest Seminary. He served in senior pastor roles for 20 years prior to joining Northwest. He publications include “Adopted by God: Discover the Life-Transforming Joy of a Neglected Truth” (2021), “Why is the Old Testament God so Violent?” chapter in Everyday Apologetics: Answering Common Objections to the Christian Faith, (ed. Paul Chamberlain and Chris Price, Lexham Press, 2020) and “The Problem with Christianity: Six Unsettling Questions You Have Asked”, (2015). Dr. Priebe is passionate about seeing the people of God fully equipped for service.

Respondent: Dr. Archie Spencer has developed an international reputation as a scholar, speaker and theologian; including Catholic circles where he has developed an ecumenical dialogue with the lay movement, “Communion and Liberation”, and the Italian Theologian, Luigi Giussani. Archie’s ministry and professional experience includes serving as a pastor in various settings within the Pentecostal and Baptist contexts for over 15 years. While teaching, he has continued to remain active in the local church through various preaching engagements, seminars, men’s retreats. Dr. Spencer loves engaging the church as she thinks through her theological and missional mandate. He can be contacted for speaking engagements through the Speakers’ Bureau.

Moderator: Dr. Michael Morelli is Assistant Professor of Theology, Culture & Ethics, and Program Manager for CBTE & Life-Long Learning at Northwest College and Seminary, a member of ACTS Seminaries of Trinity Western University. He holds a PhD in Theological Ethics from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland and is the author of Theology, Ethics, and Technology in the Work of Jacques Ellul and Paul Virilio: A Nascent Theological Tradition (Lexington Books). He publishes and presents on a variety of topics within the fields of theology, morality, culture, politics, and technology. He has also worked in local church ministry and continues to serve the church in a lay capacity.
