Join us in celebrating the importance of family on BC’s Family Day! This is the perfect opportunity to experience the museum for those who are working or attending school during our regular hours of operation. We are also offering several kid-friendly activities on this statutory holiday.

Activities for families offered from 10am – 4pm:
• Admission (by donation) to our permanent exhibition
• Museum worksheets (geared toward 3 different age groups)
• “I Spy” Activity Books
• Paint Your Own Russian Figurine Craft
• Discover Your Genealogy Activity (hosted by the Mennonite Historical Society of BC)

Family friendly story time starting at 11:00am and 1:30pm (each story will be approximately 15 minutes)
• Stories from of Daughters in the City: Mennonite Maids in Vancouver, 1931-61, told by Ruth Derksen Siemens
• Digging Up the Dishes, told by Irmgard Thiessen
• Interactive Storytelling with Mennontie quilts, told by Louise Bergen Price
